António Loureiro fez bem em deixar para as gerações vindouras um livro de receitas que já datava de 1873. Porque foi precisamente ali (às indicações para uma velha genebra, um tipo de gin dos Países Baixos) que o seu neto e chef Hélio, afamado pelas aparições televisivas, foi buscar inspiração para um raro (o segundo) gin made in Portugal. Seguiu a receita a que o avô também era fiel, e que recomendava especial cuidado na escolha do zimbro para destilação, mas também quis juntar-lhe algo de novo. Num mercado em que o gin é de moda e as variações começam a esgotar, o chef apostou tudo em dar-lhe uma marca muito portuguesa. Foi aos nossos campos colher a frescura do pejo e da hortelã e aos nossos mares (piscadela de olho à herança das descobertas) buscar o exotismo de especiarias como a canela, o cravinho ou o cardamomo. Mais uma pitada de uvas passas Moscatel e a untuosidade das amêndoas torradas para um resultado final que, produzido de forma artesanal e destilado sete vezes, agrada até aos mais exigentes fãs da bebida branca. Agora, “Gin” em português quer dizer “Mui”.</div>

<b>“Os quiosques são um exemplo de equipamento urbano indissociável dos boulevards parisienses nas últimas três décadas do século XIX concebidos como “uma pequena boutique na via pública para venda de jornais, flores, tabaco e refrescos, tão ao estilo 1880.”</b> Foram estas construções de madeira, ferro e alvenaria que algumas cidades portuguesas e em particular Lisboa adoptaram por volta de 1870. O primeiro pedido para instalação de um quiosque em lisboa data de 1867 e teve como requerente D. Tomás de Mello um dos pioneiros na publicidade em Portugal.</div>

<br />Na construção dos quiosques lisboetas, especializou-se a Casa J. Lino & Ca., fundada pelo pai de Raul Lino e dirigida posteriormente pelo próprio. A base é, em regra, em alvenaria; sobre a base assenta o balcão, de madeira ou mármore. O corpo do quiosque apresenta em todas as faces janelas que podem ser envidraçadas, com portinholas de madeira ou de ferro e taipas de correr; entre as janelas, as colunas podem ser artisticamente decoradas ou suportar publicidade. Por fim as cúpulas, com frequência em ferro trabalhadas artisticamente ao gosto Arte Nova.</div>
